Technically, Still in My "Early Fifties"

Tomorrow is my birthday.  I will be fifty-two years of age.  I won't say "old" because I don't think of fifty-two as old.  While I am fully aware that I am no longer a young woman, I refuse to call myself old.  I love the age I am.  I exercise daily, enjoy current events and pop culture, and read so-called fashion magazines.  I have no desire to dress or act as a twenty-something; however, I don't think dressing as a dowager is necessary either.

Within the past four months, I've retired, my husband and I became grandparents to the most precious boy in the world, and we celebrated our thirtieth wedding anniversary.  Next week, we will enjoy vacation blessed with our three adult children, our son-in-law, our grandson, our dogs, and other friends and family. It will be amazing - just like last year and the previous fifty.

In the next twelve months, I will figure out what I want to do with the second half of my life...maybe.
